One-Face Wonder: Amy Wesson, 2001

There is a phenomenon of people who make the same face in every photo.

Sports Illustrated has its own version: Amy Wesson, from 2001. She unleashes the same intense, weary gaze in every pic.

She’s also clad in white in all of them, so she’s an excellent intro to White Swimsuit Week. Once Labor Day arrives, white is off limits. Let’s spend the week indulging in it while we can.

Jess We Can

I’m not sure what Mambo Australia is. Clothing designer? Artist commune? A little of both? Whatever they are, they’ve gathered a couple of Jessicas as “goddesses” for a campaign.

It involves bikinis. I approve.

I believe today is the birthday of model-search winner Jessica Perez.

I’m quite taken with her, that elfin face, those circular hips that are perfect for retro lingerie or swimwear:

Of course, if you’d rather see her in some more contemporary lingerie, there are some giant photos here and there online, where you can practically count her pores.

I don’t think there’s a disappointing photo in her 2012 offerings, and I’m looking forward to more of her in 2013.
