Hold On To Your Butts

I think my girl for the model search this year is Manuela Hernandez.

She's pure-sex-in-a-bikini.

And she's a great girl to feature for this year's Butt Appreciation Day. Almost every photo they feature on the Final Six page showcases her amazing rear end.

Also among the finalists are the butts of Brooks Nader, Jessica Aidi, and Erin Willerton.

Good luck to these girls as they battle for 2020.

Among the butts that did not make the cut are Allyn Rose, Anna Fritzdorf, and Laura Elizabeth Woo.

(Allyn Rose would have been a great addition because it would have allowed me to do a "Rose is a Rose is a Rose" pun with Pania Rose and Rose Bertram, but alas, it is not meant to be.)

One-Piece Wednesday: Kyra Santoro

The 2016 model search was an impressive enough lineup to warrant its own mini swimsuit issue. I've already covered Caroline, Daniela, and Megan. Now let us bask in Kyra modeling some one-piecers from various swimwear companies.

I think a lot of these do her justice better than the SI photos did.

Calendar Girls, Revisited: 1995

Stacey Williams ushered in a couple wonderful models in 1995. Unfortunately, I fear they are both destined to be one-hit wonders.


On January 9, Stacey oversaw the arrival of Raven Lyn. Raven was one of the 2018 models I was most excited about, but there's been no word of her participating in the 2019 shoots thus far.

 Hailey Clauson, however, has been accounted for in 2019.

And on March 7, 1995, her birth was celebrated by an underrated one-hit wonder in her own right, Jenny Brunt.

Another one-and-done girl, Solveig, arrived on April 13, heralded by her fellow one-name wonder Vendela.

Stacey's second one-hit wonder of the year is the deeply mourned Kelly Gale, on May 14.

On June 4, Ingrid Seynhaeve welcomed Georgia Gibbs. No sign of Georgia making a return appearance this year.

And finally, we have a week where neither the birthday girl nor the calendar girl is a one-hit wonder. Gigi Hadid (2014, 15, 16) and Kathy Ireland (1984, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, deep breath 96).

Topless Tuesday: Anne de Paula and Robin Holzken, 2018

Normally we'd be speculating on the cover right about now, but instead the models are trickling in. They're in Kenya now, and yesterday they announced the return of Anne de Paula.

She's beautiful, and I hope she has a better 2019. (I wasn't over the moon about her pics last year.)

Also back is last year's Kathy Irish rookie Robin Holzken, and I'm pretty happy about that.

Porizkova Panorama

Thought I'd finish off Paulina Weekend with a couple nice shots I found on photographer Brian Lanker's site.

I very much wish there was a higher-quality image of this panorama photo, an alternate pose from her 1985 cover that I'd never seen before.

I also wish I had an extra $250 lying around so I could buy a print.
