Like I did with Anne V, I counted up the number of models Irina has shared the magazine with. I have Irina at 81, leaving her a little short of Anne’s 88. (Anne was helped by the All-Star Reunion issue, which came out in 2006, just before Irina’s time.)

Now, there’s no need to assume Irina will call it quits after just one decade. Kathy Ireland has the all-time record at 12 years (including 11 in a row). Does Irina have her eyes on that mark?

I still find it hard to believe there wasn't a single picture of Kathy that they could've used for the 1995 issue, bad weather notwithstanding. Although I guess that left extra pages for Stacey Williams pictures so I shouldn't complain lol.
Did Kathy shoot for that year but just not get any photos in? I don't think I'd heard that. That's kind of amazing.
Yeah, she shot in Costa Rica. There were letters complaining she wasn't in the issue, and they said their weren't any suitable. They published one or two in the letter column. March 6, 1995 issue, which you can see in the SI Vault site. Hopefully this link works

At least the pic of her in the chair on the beach should've been in the issue so that she could've kept her consecutive streak going.
She's one of a few models who I know shot for issues but got no pictures - Eva Herzigova and Karen Trella in 1993, Anouk Voorveld in 1998. And I wonder about Ashley Richardson in 1988.
Wow, you're right. There are even some perfectly lovely photos of her in the 1996 calendar. What a miss!
I don't think I realized that before.
