City shoots really do lend themselves so much better to memorable pics than the beach does these days. And I'm still so glad they brought Ariel back after those years away.
Interesting! Now I'm trying to think of all the urban shoots they've done over the years. Barcelona, Naples, St. Petersburg, some one-offs for the Music and Route 66 issues...
I'll always prefer that old way of just picking a country and then featuring different parts of that. Like in 84 you're on these 3 small little islands yet there are still pics of markets, dive piers, desert cactus, and salt pyramids on top of resorts and pool. I assume now the resorts just comp the rooms in exchange for the promotion so we don't see much else other than beach.
Why I keep missing something that hasn't existed for a decades I don't know.
