By the Way, I Was Wrong
"I Love SI Girls" is another blog dedicated to Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. (Meaning there are two.) The writer over there posted a couple photos of the Manhattan billboard featuring the 2011 cover. It's the billboard that (was/will be) revealed on Letterman tonight.
It is not Julie Henderson. My streak is broken. Sorry, Julie.

One-Hit Wonder: Jessica Hart (2009)
It’s Valentine’s Day, so it’s fitting to examine a Hart.
When I first saw Jessica Hart in the 2009 swimsuit issue, I remember being charmed by the gap in her teeth. “Cool!” I thought. “A cute little imperfection, not unlike Cindy Crawford’s mole, that makes her look unique.”
But I have to admit, the gap got distracting. Jessica was all in white for her shoot in Mexico that year. When her gap was not visible, she was gorgeous.
She had a smokiness that was kind of surprising, given her spun-sugar blondeness.
But when the gap was clearly visible, it almost acted as a magnet for the eyes, pulling me away from otherwise gorgeous shots.
Make no mistake, she’s a beautiful woman. And focusing on the gap feels kind of superficial. But, we are talking about swimsuit models, so a little superficiality is a given.
For the record, here are a couple of non-SI bikini shots of her in which her gap is showing, but I don’t find it intrusive.
This may be a rare occasion in which I like non-SI shots of a model better than the ones from the swimsuit issue.

Your 2011 Rookies
The Rookie Class of 2011 has been announced. Let’s take a look at where each of them fits in the swimsuit model spectrum.
Kate Upton 
She’s the most classic-looking, all-American, SI-type swimsuit model of the bunch. I see her as today’s Tori Praver.

Those are some major-league eyebrows. I see her as Yasmeen Ghauri’s face with Yamila Diaz’s lips.
• • • Shannan Click 
Looks to me like a combination of Molly Sims and Carolyn Murphy.
• • • Kenza Fourati 
This Tunisian model is highly unusual for SI. Most of the photos I found of her online show her in moody black & white fashion shots. It took me a while to think of an equivalent, but I think her look has the Frenchy, art-house ennui of a Laetitia Casta.
• • • Izabel Goulart 
I figured that Daniella Sarahyba would not be in the 2011 issue. So they needed another 26-year-old Brazilian model to step up, and they found Izabel. If Daniella smiled less, they’d look even more similar.
• • • The folks at Lowdown Blog place their bets on 2011's cover girl, and they put Julie Henderson at #3, after Anne V and Irina Shayk. (They also refer to the 2011 issue as the 49th. Meanwhile, the guys at Bro Bible seem to think it’s the 38th. Guys—it’s the 47th.)

Okay, I’m not real happy with the M&M’s reference, but to my surprise I could not find a single SI photo of a model interacting with chocolate. Or any kind of candy.
Models + chocolate seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? The photographer Rankin thought so, as evidenced by this Heidi Klum pic from his book, Heidilicious.
UPDATE: Of course. Petra Nemcova, with candy.

RE-UPDATE: Technically, I believe Petra is eating a tiny pastry, not really a "candy." But in the 2014 issue, Emily DiDonato poses in Switzerland, and this time it's definitely chocolate candy.
