An amusing exchange between the swimsuit issue and a reader came in 1991. SI's caption for this pic of Judit:

It's called the Moon and Star swimsuit.
I purchased on from the designer directly in 1991.

Yes - and I still have it - lasted all these years.
Swimwear is collectible as other apparel is.
My first collectible was the Cole of California " Scandal Suit" from 1965.
But this beautiful Keiko is the Moon & Stars.
It also came in Black.
Well, I had to look up "Scandal Suit." Looks like it was a pretty famous piece of fashion history!
